To view animated pictures on your computer, you need to open them in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. By default, most programs will only show the first picture or frame in the animation.

To open the picture in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer:
  1. Right-click on the downloaded animation file (should have a .GIF extension)
  2. Select “Open With…”  from the popup-menu
  3. Finally, click on Windows Picture and Fax Viewer  from the list of programs to view the animation.
